Jonathan’s China Deal – President
Muhammadu Buhari says Nigeria cannot
afford to lose the enormous potential in
China-Nigeria economic and trade
cooperation.
On trade and economic ties, Buhari said his government
remains committed to contracts signed by Goodluck
Jonathan, his predecessor, with Chinese firms on
railway, roads and hydroelectric dam projects.
He referred to the bilateral relationship as a
development opportunity that Nigeria cannot afford to
lose.
Speaking to Xinhua, Chinese news agency, prior to his
state visit to China, Buhari said Nigeria and China enjoy
vast opportunities in cooperation in such fields as
agriculture, mining, electric power generation, and
railway and road construction.
“China has the technical and financial capacity and the
experience of development while retaining the goodwill
to help Nigeria. So, really, this is an opportunity Nigeria
cannot afford to lose,” Buhari said.
“In spite of being the largest economy in Africa, Nigeria
is still badly in need of these projects, which China, as
the world’s second-largest economy, has the capacity
to undertake.”
He expressed Nigeria’s readiness to expand the
development of industries, especially in manufacturing
and textile industries, and speed up infrastructure
construction, which presents huge opportunities for
both China and Nigeria.
“The opportunities that present themselves for us … are
virtually limitless,” he said, adding that 62 percent of
the Nigerian population is under the age of 35 and the
jobless rate among this group is very high.
“The best way to tackle unemployment is to develop
agriculture and the mining industry, which China has
the capacity to help. Some Chinese enterprises have
already been involved in the mining industry in
Nigeria’s northern provinces”.

Buhari: I’m Committed To Jonathan’s China Deal
Thursday, 24 March 2016
Exposed: Read how much Pro-Buhari group is seeking to stand with Buhari #iStandWithBuhari
Kayode Ogundamisi, a commentator on Nigerian and
international affairs, has claimed that the support group
of the president #IstandwithBuhari is registered as a
business name and soliciting over a billion of naira from
public officials.
Ogundamisi published the results of his investigations on
his Facebook page.
He claimed that he has strong evidences of fraud against
some elements parading themselves as members of pro-
Buhari group.
Read his statement below:
“ This is a registered business name (not an
NGO) founded by Chinedu Okpalanma, the
erstwhile DG of ISWB. Documents show that
himself and some other elements are its
founders. The attached letterhead clearly
shows the business name ISWB concept in
two places. Contrary to many assertions by
the ISWB elements that they are not looking
to make or share money, that they are purely
funded by members of the ISWB
organization, we have evidence on the
contrary by way of the attached letter. ISWB
members have sent out many letters to
Nigerians soliciting for ridiculous amounts of
money. We obtained the attached letter from
a VIP who was criminally approached for a
sum in excess of N1 billion naira.
“We were approached by this same VIP in
confidence. This VIP has already informed
us that he intends to petition the relevant
security agencies to look into the matter as
he believes this is clearly fraudulent. We also
have proof of several other politicians and
heads of industry that have been approached
by this dubious criminals. We will publish
more letters/documents in due course.
“We have evidence showing Chinedu is the
main founder, he remains within the
organization as its arrow head working from
the background never showing himself to the
public while using other puppets to call the
shots. He never resigned, He only changed
his public role from DG to the Board
Secretary of ISWB and still runs the show.
“We call on the security agencies to invite
the members to firstly deny them clearance
for this deceitful rally. It is neither beneficial
to the president nor does it justify the
yearnings of many poor who do not even
stand a chance of affording the trip to Abuja.
If any group is allowed to assemble even
100,000 people on a working day (which
31st March is), that group is capable of
undermining security and only Gods knows
the type of agenda these people have. We
have already sent a petition to relevant
security agencies for further action.
“We call on the CnC to immediately deploy
the necessary government officials to
dissociate his government from this group, to
arrest the people responsible for this
campaign of calumny, and have this group
dissolved immediately.”
The Pro-Buhari group called on Nigerians to show their
support for the anti-corruption crusade of the APC-led
government.

Presidency To PDP
The group through its different social media platforms
solicited for more signatures in support of Buhari’s
administration.
This hash tag was popular during the presidential
campaign last year. Therefore, many Nigerians can’t
understand why the group is still campaigning to stand
with Buhari as he is already the president.

Boko Haram in trouble;see the new ‘weapon’Buhari is adopting againstthem (photos)
As a way of further destroying the potency of Boko
Haram terrorists, President Muhammadu Buhari has
approved the establishment of a naval command post in
the Lake Chad region.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) quoted the director of
Naval information, Chris Ezekobe, as saying: “There is a
presidential directive to set up a command post in the Lake
Chad Region and that is ongoing.”
The naval commodore, who spoke in Lagos on Tuesday,
March 22, informed that the naval personnel required for
the post are currently undergoing training in the north
east and would be deployed once it the directive becomes
operational.
Speaking on the three categories of forces working in the
north east, Ezekobe stated that the navy had acquired 30
repellent boats and was expecting 50 more by the end of
May to enhance security in the Niger Delta region, which
will make it difficult for the criminals to operate in that
domain.
He said: “We have improved on our surveillance capability
and the regional maritime awareness capability.
“We have increased the number of satellite stations along
the coasts. Essentially, our territorial waters are well covered
by the surveillance system.
“We have acquired one Offshore Patrol Vessel from China
and the other will arrive before the end of May.”
The spokesman added that about 70-80 per cent of the
nation’s wealth comes from the maritime environment, a
development which makes it necessary to secure the
terrain.
According to him, “We need to partner with other maritime
security agencies, the media and other stakeholders.
“It is a collective effort and we must secure that
environment to make our nation prosperous and great
again.”
The new directive is coming on the heels of series of
conquest by the Nigerian military over the insurgents in
recent weeks, the latest being the destruction of the
terrorists’ hideout in Borgozo...
